The Author

Richard Anderson is the author of the Uncle Wizard books.  He was born in London and grew up in Kent.  His love of writing stems from an early age, from tales of spaceships and dragons scribbled in the pages of his school books, to his adult life and stories broadcast on BBC Radio about his passion for football, and time spent travelling in Sri Lanka, ​

Richard wrote the first Uncle Wizard book as a Christmas present for his niece.  The writing of the second book, Uncle Wizard and the Golden Orb began in Kent, continued when he moved to Edinburgh, and was finished shortly after he settled in Gateshead. He is currently writing the third Uncle Wizard story.
